(SUNA) โ The Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Gen.Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed have discussed bilateral relations between Sudan and Ethiopia and ways and means of enhancing them to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries.
Daglo stressed during the meeting, which was held at the premises of the Ethiopian Ministry of Defense Saturday evening in the presence of the Ethiopian Minister of Defense, Abrahamย Belay, the Sudanese ambassador in Addis Ababa, Jamal Al-Sheikh, and a number of officials from both sides, the depth and strength of the historical relations between Sudan and Ethiopia, calling for boosting them further to meet the aspirations of the peoples of the two countries.
The meeting dealt with a number of issues of mutual concern at the bilateral, regional and international levels.
Daglo receives Chairperson of African Union Commission
Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, received at his residence in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, Chairpersonย of theย African Union Commissionย Moussa Faki, in the presence of director of AUC Chairperson chamber ย Mohamed El-Hassan Ould Labbat and the Sudanese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Jamal Al-Sheikh.
During the meeting, the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council expressed Sudanโs appreciation for the role being assumed by the African Union at the level of the African continent, especially in Sudan, to enhance stability.
His Excellency presented a briefing to the Chairperson of the African Union Commission on developments in Sudan, especially with regard to the political crisis in the country. He also briefed him on the governmentโs efforts to implement the Juba Agreement for the Peace in Sudan.
For his part, Moussa Faki affirmed the African Unionโs concern on the current developments in Sudan, expressing its readiness to contribute to addressing the crisis within the framework of maximizing African- African solutions
